Junior Cycle Subjects

First Year:              Pupils study all subjects. This enables students to make more informed choices about subjects they wish to study for their Junior Certificate.

Second/Third Year: 

Core Subjects:                Irish, English, Maths, French, Geography, Science,

                                         C.S.P.E., S.P.H.E., Religion, P.E

Optional Subjects:          History, Business Studies, Woodwork, Metalwork, Art,

                                          Home Economics, Technical Graphics.

Senior Cycle Subjects

Core Subjects:               Irish, English, Maths, Religion, P.E.

Optional Subjects:        Geography, French, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science,                                                    

                                        Business Studies, Accounting, Design and Communication Graphics,

                                       Construction, Engineering, Art, Home Economics, History, LCVP.

Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme

The L.C.V.P. is an intervention designed to enhance the vocational dimension of the traditional Leaving Certificate. The LCVP combines the academic strengths of the traditional Leaving Certificate with a dynamic focus on self directed learning, innovation and enterprise. It also incorporates a week on work experience. The L.C.V.P. examinations are accepted for points within the CAO system of application for third level colleges.
